Terramar Golf Club returns to its essence, while it is performing some changes in its route, to devote itself to the sea during the celebration of Estrella Damm Mediterranean Ladies Open, integrated within the Ladies European Tour tournament will take place between 26 and 29 September with the presence of the best European players.
The first modification affects the hole 18, it will be the usual tour of the famous Barcelona, next to the clubhouse, perfect for making the most of a final competition predictably a spectacular image of what happened in the previous two editions binomial, when the Estrella Damm Trophy ended up in the hands of the English and Dutch Florentyna Parker Anne Van Dam after offering two separate wonderful shows.
Additionally, the par 3 overlooking the sea, which in 2018 constituted the end of the tournament, one of the iconic holes of the course Terramar Golf Club, with a high green allowing a stunning view over the Mediterranean Sea, will become the 15 with the aim that the last four holes are 100% 'Mediterranean', with stunning panoramic views of the coast of Sitges.
Iñigo Aramburu, tournament promoter, considers that “one of the many great things Terramar Golf Club and, thus, the Estrella Damm Mediterranean Ladies Open, it focuses on the existing combination between the intrinsic difficulties generated by the route, which increases the effort required by the players feeding the sporting spectacle, and the beauty of it, with the Mediterranean Sea in most of its holes, in this tournament final, a touch of very interesting distinction for both golfers and for the audience”.
Estrella Damm on the Mediterranean Ladies Open
The Estrella Damm Mediterranean Ladies Open, which reaches its third edition, is a professional women's golf tournament integrated into the European Tour to be held 26 to 29 of September at the Club de Golf Terramar Sitges (Barcelona), which will bring together the best players in golf on the Old Continent. At the conclusion of the final day on Sunday 29, Estrella Damm Trophy will be awarded to the winner. Estrella Damm Mediterranean Ladies Open is the second European Tour event to be held in Spain in 2019.
